Dalanzadgad, the nearest town with a domestic airport, lies within reach, as does Bulgan, one of the few farming settlements in the desert. Forty felt and canvas gers, built to the proportions of a Buddhist temple, stand in a loose cluster against the open steppe. Each is heated by a wood stove and furnished with a hand-painted wooden bed frame, either king or double, plus a private bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. The lodge was founded in 2002 by Jalsa Urubshurow, and it was built and remains staffed entirely by Mongolians. It was the first luxury ecolodge in the Gobi Desert. Bulagtai Restaurant serves regional dishes such as buuz and tsuivan alongside Western plates, using produce grown near Bulgan and dairy sourced from nomadic herding families. Dino Hall, styled after a Mongolian temple, hosts evening music and lectures. Guests can ride camels or horses, learn archery, or walk to Bulagtai's summit ovoo at sunrise. The Flaming Cliffs, where the first dinosaur eggs were found in 1923, lie within driving distance. Massage, laundry, and an on-site shop round out the property.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"WETU","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43907151298619,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"ZAR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0582\/6776\/2747\/files\/dino-house-2-1024x683.jpg?v=1785777772"}],"url":"https:\/\/plekify.com\/collections\/country-mongolia.oembed","provider":"Plekify","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
