Leopards are known to move through the area regularly, and the camp times its drives around two migrations: the Serengeti wildebeest crossing and a green season movement of wildebeest and zebra from the Loita Plains, when herds can swell by tens of thousands. Two Land Cruisers, both open-sided and fitted with 300-degree visibility, are set up for photography, and each tent carries binoculars and a camera kit for guests to use. Guides run full days out on the plains, with a picnic breakfast and often lunch taken in the bush. Guests can also cycle the open grassland and old airstrip after morning drives, riding among topi, impala, and warthog while a vehicle stands by. Staying here gives access to both a national reserve and a private conservancy nearby, so the pace can shift from crowded sightings to quieter tracking.
