The dam lies about 1.5 kilometres from the hotel and can be reached on foot or by bicycle. Three canoes and life jackets are kept there, and bird life is abundant on the water.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. A backpack can be collected from Reception for the walk out.
With only three canoes, it is a small-scale outing rather than a group activity.
