The Winchester Hotel
Set on Beach Road in Sea Point, The Winchester Boutique Hotel occupies a 1920s Cape Dutch building between the Atlantic Ocean and the city. Seventy-eight rooms and suites are distributed across four floors; select units face the ocean and promenade, others the western face of Table Mountain, and a third group the interior courtyard. Thirteen Junior Sea-Facing Suites measure 25 to 45 m² and look onto the water. Three Luxury Balcony Suites run 59 m² and carry private balconies above the promenade; the Premium Luxury Suite spans 78 m². Nine Luxury Rooms occupy loft-style spaces facing the sea. Family Suites hold two bedrooms—one en-suite—and a separate lounge. Fourteen Loft Rooms overlook the courtyard, which is planted with bougainvillea over colonnaded balconies. All units carry air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, and marble or tiled en-suite bathrooms.

Shoreditch Restaurant serves a menu of shareable plates and main courses cooked on open flames. Harvey's Bar, adjoining the restaurant, offers cocktails and wine on a terrace facing the Atlantic. The Sanctuary Signature Spa operates on site; a gym and outdoor pool are available to guests. Conference rooms accommodate small meetings and private functions. The V&A Waterfront lies within a short drive; Table Mountain's cable station is accessible by road. You can hear the percussion of the Atlantic surf from ocean-facing balconies.
