NetSuite × Shopify B2B — live integration, production data
Plekify for NetSuite
Tiered B2B pricing mapped from NetSuite. Trade approvals and pay-on-account running in production.
A UK film-distribution manufacturer runs Shopify B2B on standard Shopify — no Plus — with NetSuite as the system of record for price and stock. No migration.
The problem with the official connector
The official Oracle NetSuite Connector moves orders, items, inventory, and fulfillment well. It does not move price levels.
It syncs a single price per item, at every tier — even on the connector's own $916.58/mo B2B tier. Tiered price levels are unavailable from the official connector at any price. A distributor running 29 price levels across trade, retail, and export customers gets one number per SKU, and has to work around it manually or not at all.
Fixing that the "native" way means Shopify Plus, at roughly $2,000+/mo, on top of the connector. The full official path lands at roughly $2,900+/mo — and still doesn't sync price levels. The iPaaS route (Celigo and similar) runs $1,000–3,500/mo, plus implementation, plus custom code to bridge the gap yourself.
None of these solve the actual problem: NetSuite knows the price for each customer tier. Shopify doesn't see it.
Plekify's answer: tiered B2B pricing on standard Shopify. No Plus. No migration.
What Plekify ships
01 — Tiered pricing. Every NetSuite price level and per-item price subrecord maps to a Shopify B2B catalog as a fixed price. Mapped and staged; activation is the final mile on Grow.
02 — Approval gate. A Shopify Function blocks checkout for guests and unapproved buyers. Live.
03 — Pay on terms. A pay-on-account payment method, restricted to approved buyers, using NetSuite-sourced payment terms. Live.
04 — Order & inventory sync. Suite-level stock availability flows to Shopify in batches of 200 or fewer, fail-closed. Live.
05 — Fail-safe pricing. Per-line tier discounts run as a Shopify Function, with an automatic fall back to list price if the discount can't be resolved. Live.
06 — Agent-ready catalog. The catalog becomes agent-readable via Plekify's UCP manifest — roadmap for this connector.
In production today
- Trade approvals run end to end: a public application form (Shopify App Proxy) feeds an internal approvals screen, which creates the NetSuite customer and provisions the Shopify buyer with a tier marker. Order-to-customer mapping supports accounts receivable.
- Nightly reconcile at 02:00 Europe/London, DST-aware.
- Secrets are envelope-encrypted.
- Ships as a public Shopify app: Plekify B2B Sync.
Scale in production: a UK film-distribution manufacturer, 29 NetSuite price levels, roughly 269 sellable items, roughly 1,158 customers. UK and EU storefronts live; US storefront in scope. Five mapped B2B catalogs and price lists seeded from those 29 price levels.
The dashboard
NetSuite buries tier pricing across three screens. The official connector offers no status view at all. Plekify puts it in one place, behind Google login:
- /overview — platform health, sync-latency chart, audit timeline, Sync now
- /approvals — pending and approved trade applications
- /price-sync — drift badges between NetSuite and Shopify
- /tiers — snapshot cache of mapped price levels
- /inventory — stock sync status
- /ops — operational log
Enterprise hygiene
- Nightly reconcile, 02:00 Europe/London, DST-aware.
- Inventory sync is fail-closed: batches capped at 200, and a failed batch stops rather than pushes bad stock data.
- Secrets envelope-encrypted, not stored in plain config.
- No Shopify Plus. No migration off your current plan.
- PCI-DSS Level 1. 99.9% platform uptime.
