The hotel occupies three buildings on a farm that has housed fishermen for generations: the Fisherman's Cabin, one of Aurland's oldest houses, dating to the early 18th century; the Goat Barn, an 18th-century smoke house fitted with modern architecture; and Grandmother's House, from the mid-18th century. Eight rooms in total are named for the anglers, relatives and river pools that shaped the place. The Ekman room keeps its 18th-century timber walls and a daybed set to the sound of the Turlid waterfall. Jericho's bathroom is lined in cog-jointed timber from the old smokehouse. The Liverpool suite mixes birch veneer with William Morris wallpaper in the master bedroom, and a separate lounge looks out over the same waterfall. You can hear bumblebees at the climbing roses from the Ekman window in summer. Wood-fired baths and saunas can be ordered as extras, along with guided excursions in the region. All rooms are run on half board, with breakfast, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner included.
