The land runs flat here, 25 acres of Waimea Plain, and the view opens out to the Richmond Ranges and the Waimea Estuary without a building in the way. You can hear birdsong before the farm wakes, and watch the light move over Mount Arthur through the day. Rabbit Island's beach lies eight minutes off, reef-free sand backed by pine, good for a walk or a swim depending on the tide. Rough Island and its equestrian park sit closer still. Cycling routes, including the Great Taste Trail, pass within 200 metres. Check-in runs from 4pm, check-out by 10am.
