It is a small camp: four double tents and one family tent, each with its own terrace facing out over the wilderness. The family tent sleeps up to four adults, or a couple with children, across two bedrooms joined by a shared lounge.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTwo star beds stand apart from the rest, open to the sky rather than under canvas. One comes with a jacuzzi, the other with its own private dining space, and both let guests fall asleep watching the Samburu stars with no glow of nearby towns to dim them. Days run around game drives through Kalama Conservancy and neighbouring Samburu National Reserve, with night drives turning up creatures the daylight rarely shows. Guides also lead bush walks and birdwatching outings, and arrange visits to nearby Samburu villages and the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in the Mathews Range, Africa's first community-run elephant sanctuary.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMeals are taken in the main tent or out in the bush, breakfast by the Ewaso Nyiro River, dinner lit by lanterns under open sky.
