It holds 45 units in total: 19 rooms inside the main Trailhead Lodge and 26 private log cabins spread across camps with names like Pioneer, Rendezvous and Vista. Cabins range from one to four bedrooms, so a couple and a large family can both be housed within a short walk of each other. Grandview Cabin sits at the ranch's highest point, its two-storey log build giving views over Francis Meadow and the Sierra Madre peaks. Sheriff's Cabin, tucked above Rendezvous Camp among rock outcrops, keeps a potbelly stove in its living room and sleeps up to nine across three bedrooms. Stagecoach Cabin began life as the valley's original stagecoach stop and still has its stone fireplace. Horses, deer and pronghorn graze the open ground below the windows. You can watch the ranch herd move to lower pasture most mornings from the porch at Hawkins House. Saratoga Jet Center lies 16 miles from the front gate; Laramie's airport is about an hour by road.
