In truth, the act of getting here from Shira 2 is really tough as you go via Lava Tower for acclimatization, which sits at 4600m above sea level. You'll be sleeping at this height in a couple of days time. The reward for getting here is a hearty lunch, with the porters and guides bringing up a mess tent and all the food for a hot meal. Then, after lunch, you'll drop back down to 3900m.
