The lodge sits on an 1,800-hectare conservancy in Limpopo, 26 km from Hoedspruit, within the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Reserve. Nine tented suites are angled toward the escarpment, each fully solar-powered with a ceiling fan, an en-suite bathroom, and an open-air shower. A double suite pairs two tents around a shared deck for families or friends travelling together. The main lodge and its decks look out over the Manutsa Mountains, where meals are served alongside sightings of vultures riding the thermals off the cliff face. Guides lead walks and mountain bike routes across the conservancy, and a sunset drive turns up wildebeest, kudu, giraffe, and zebra, with the occasional leopard slipping through the bush. A permaculture garden supplies much of the kitchen, part of a working push toward near-total self-sufficiency through solar power, water recycling, and a plastic-free operation. You can hear vultures overhead from the viewing decks most afternoons. An Eco Village nearby holds ten tents on wooden platforms for groups, run off the same self-sustaining systems. Check-in runs from 2pm.
