The first of its kind in the central Drakensberg, Dragonview Lodge is a four-star environmentally sustainable boutique hotel. With only eight suites, Dragonview Lodge provides intimate and exclusive Drakensberg accommodation offering personalised services.

Our two executive suites boast an exquisitely decorated downstairs bedroom with a king-sized four-poster bed and an intimate lounge upstairs. Enjoy a romantic dinner on the deck or raise a glass of champagne while taking in the breathtaking views from your private lounge.

The six contemporary family suites are all uniquely decorated with a king-sized bed downstairs, and twin single beds and a couch upstairs. All suites lead onto a private deck with uninterrupted views of the Drakensberg Mountains. The family suites can comfortably accommodate a family of four or two couples holidaying together. An additional child under 12 years old can be accommodated on the couch.

The lodge offers an on-site bar and restaurant overlooking the Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak mountain ranges. Unwind by the rim-flow rock pool while the kids splash in the pool or explore the Dragonland playscape. Our two lounges, games room, children’s playroom, indoor heated pool and gym ensure the whole family is entertained even on chilly winter mornings and rainy days.
