Garden Palace Heritage Homestays, located in Balasinor, Gujarat, India, is the private residence of the Royal family of Balasinor. Set amidst lush green fields and gardens, the residence was built in 1883 and has recently been converted into a Heritage Homestays by the present ruler and his wife, and is ably run by their daughter and son, assisted by his wife. The residence has 6 beautifully and uniquely appointed rooms on the ground floor which are available for guests' use. Each room is differently sized and painted a different colour, but all are equipped with LED TV's with Tata Sky offering various channels, tea and coffee making facilities, telephones and tastefully re-done en-suite modern bathrooms with showers. 2 tented cottages with all modern facilities and en-suite bathrooms are also available for guests' use at the palace's sister concern, Camp Dinosaur. On-site facilities include an in-house restaurant serving authentic, home-cooked traditional cuisine, children's wading pool and Wi-Fi internet access in common areas. Guests can take cooking lessons at the palace, as well as enjoying the indoor and outdoor games, bird watching, hiking and nature walks. Day tours and excursions to local attractions such as the surrounding old temples can also be arranged.
