Grand Hotel Kronenhof

Grand Hotel Kronenhof stands in the Engadine village of Pontresina in the canton of Grisons, a short drive from St. Moritz. The building dates to 1848 and carries heritage-protected status — the architecture has been preserved as part of that designation. It is the only five-star superior hotel in Pontresina, with one hundred and twelve rooms and suites.

The surrounding landscape is the Engadine valley: forests of stone pine and larch, several lakes, and a direct view of the Roseg glacier. Pontresina sits at the edge of this terrain, which means walking, hiking, and winter sports are accessible directly from the hotel rather than requiring a transfer.

The Kronenhof Spa covers more than two thousand square metres. The scale puts it well beyond a standard hotel wellness room, and it is designed around recovery and physical rest rather than cosmetic treatments alone.

Three restaurants operate within the hotel, offering different settings and menus under the same roof. Pontresina has its own rail station, which connects to St. Moritz and the wider valley.
