A Danish-Nicaraguan couple bought the neighbouring house in 2010 and opened the hotel in 2013, building it to match the colonial-era architecture that surrounds León's main square, four blocks away. It is a family-run place. The owners still live next door and share their garden and pool with guests. Eleven apartments and six rooms are arranged around that pool, most with a private balcony or terrace fitted with a hammock and rocking chairs, and several with a kitchenette and dining table for longer stays. Power comes largely from a rooftop solar array, backed by a battery bank, and hot water runs off solar heating panels rather than gas. You can hear little from the street once inside; the layout turns inward, toward the courtyard. A cafeteria-restaurant serves breakfast and meals through the evening, and a small gym and conference room sit off the garden. Léon's churches, museums, and the Sutiaba quarter, where a small museum recalls Adiact himself, are all within walking distance.
