A 38-metre observation tower, built into a kapok tree fifteen minutes' walk from the lodge, gives views over the canopy where guides report more than 600 recorded bird species and six kinds of monkey seen in a single stay. Guests can paddle their own kayaks from the dock, join night canoe trips to spot caimans, or visit Kichwa communities nearby. Nights run dark enough for clear views of southern constellations.
