Les Manguiers de Guéréo sits on ten hectares of grounds between this lagoon and the Atlantic, reached on foot in around ten minutes. More than 30,000 flowering shrubs have been planted across the property, and the reserve's birdlife, over 300 recorded species, draws photographers and naturalists as readily as sunbathers. Nineteen bungalows and suites are set through the gardens. The Suites Calao pair two two-bedroom bungalows with a shared central pool, sleeping up to eight, while the Guéréo and Nangala suites each carry a private pool and an outdoor bathroom. Raised hides on stilts overlook the mangroves and waterholes; others sit in the canopy of the mango trees that give the lodge its name. A dinner on the private lagoon walkway, taken alongside vervet monkeys and pelicans, can be arranged on request. Excursions run to the Bandia Reserve, the Sine Saloum delta, and Gorée Island.
