Solar power runs the lighting and ceiling fans; there is no generator noise at night.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe camp's most productive feature for wildlife viewing is the Last Waterhole Hide, built into the banks surrounding a permanent waterhole and close enough to reach on foot. It has several viewing levels and draws birds, mammals, and reptiles throughout the day. Across the concession, further hides cover a carmine bee-eater nesting colony — active from early September — and a lagoon frequented by wild dog. Game drives run morning, afternoon, and evening, typically three and a half to four hours each, with a guide and an armed scout. Walking safaris go out in groups of no more than six.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMeals are served in a chitenge dining area under large ebony trees, drawing on herbs and produce grown at the camp.
