Located in Plymouth in the United States, Plimoth Plantation offers powerful personal encounters with history built on thorough research about the Wampanoag People and the Colonial English community in the 1600s. The museum was founded in 1947 by Henry Hornblower II and today it offers an engaging and experiential outdoor and indoor learning environment. Visitors can view sites such as a 17th-century English village, Wampanoag Homesite, Mayflower II, Plimoth Grist Mill, and rare breed animals. The museum also features a visitor centre, a craft centre and a cinema. Visitors can dine at the on-site cafe, and shop for gifts and souvenirs at the gift shop.
