Railroad Museum of South Florida

The Railroad Museum of South Florida is a 3,200-square foot museum located in Lakes Regional Park. The museum houses several live steam scale locomotives and railroad artefacts. Outdoor exhibits include a 1905 Atlantic Coastline Railroad 0-6-0 Baldwin Locomotive and Tender, and a 1953 Seaboard Airline Railroad Caboose. In addition to the interactive locomotive simulator, the museum operates a one-mile miniature train ride which takes visitors on a 15-minute scenic tour, that winds through miniature villages. The museum also houses a gift shop with many train related items and a movie theatre where visitors can sit and watch a video giving some history of the park and railroad.
