Rajmahal Palace Raas Jaipur
Built in 1729, Jaipur’s oldest palace has witnessed many
transformations over the centuries. Originally a pleasure garden
built by the Maharaja of Jaipur for his queen, it became the official
residence of the British Political Agent during the British Raj. In 1958
HH Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II – the celebrated and dashing ‘Jai’ –
chose Rajmahal as his private residence. This royal palace has hosted
a dazzling list of guests including Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke
of Edinburgh and Jackie Kennedy. In its latest avatar Rajmahal Palace
displays flamboyant interiors while retaining its original elements
and the spirit of an era gone by.
Beautiful Royal Apartments and Suites, distinctive restaurants,
an exceptional bar housing silver polo trophies of generations of
Maharajas, verdant gardens and the art deco swimming pool are
just some of the exclusive experiences on offer here, in the heart of
the fabled pink city of Jaipur.
