Sakatia Lodge sits at the base of the Sacred Mountain on Nosy Sakatia, a small island 740 metres off the west coast of Nosy Be. The island has no roads and no vehicles; sandy footpaths connect the lodge to the village of Antanambe and the ylang-ylang plantation behind it. The property offers beachside Madiro bungalows with one double and two single beds, Mango bungalows set in the gardens with twin or double beds, Ravinala bungalows with a double bed and partial sea view, and glamping tents with a king bed and a single. All units have en-suite showers, mosquito nets, and fans.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA one-kilometre house reef begins steps from the bungalows. The lodge supplies complimentary snorkelling equipment. Black lemurs—males black, females russet brown—move through the trees around the property, particularly at dawn and dusk. Whale sharks appear offshore in October and November. Walking routes lead through the island's forest, past chameleons, geckos, and day-roosting fruit bats, to the village and back along the shore. The on-site dive centre runs dives to more than twenty sites around Nosy Sakatia and neighbouring reefs, including night and fluorescent dives. Half-day and full-day excursions reach Nosy Tanikely marine reserve, Nosy Iranja's tidal sandbar, Lokobe rainforest reserve on Nosy Be, and Nosy Komba's artisan village. The restaurant serves Malagasy and French-Creole dishes with locally sourced ingredients. A massage bungalow operates by appointment.
