Singita Ebony Lodge

Singita Ebony Lodge sits on the Sand River inside the Sabi Sand reserve, which shares an unfenced boundary with Kruger National Park. The reserve is Big Five country — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino move through without a fence to stop them — and the lodge is positioned on the riverbank so that elephant and buffalo regularly graze within metres of the deck.
The lodge holds twelve suites across four room types. Six standard suites, two Bush Suites with a shared entrance but separate interiors, two Lewis Suites positioned close to the main lodge building, and two Family Suites, each with a master bedroom, a second en-suite bedroom, a living room with fireplace, and a shared deck and pool. The two Family Suites can be connected as the Ebony Villa, which accommodates up to six adults with a private lounge and pool between them. Every suite has a private plunge pool, a game-viewing deck, a double-sided fireplace, outside shower, and canvas-and-glass walls in place of solid external walls — a design that keeps the boundary between indoors and the riverbank as thin as possible.
Guides and trackers go out twice daily in Land Rovers carrying a maximum of six guests. Guided walks on foot run alongside the drives. The lodge also offers night drives, stargazing sessions, and access to the Sabi Sand Canine Unit, where guests can join an active tracking exercise with a dog and handler. A spa, fitness centre, wine cellar with sommelier service, and a boutique and gallery are available on site.
Federal Air operates scheduled charter flights into the reserve's own airstrip, and the lodge provides transfers.
