The project’s objective is to engage the youth of Kasarani Village in healthy social activities. By keeping the children (many of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds) involved in the project, they are kept out of trouble and learn important life skills. It uses football and its community centre as a platform to do this. The project is run by three teachers\/mentors, who dedicate their time to train highly talented young boys and girls from the age of seven to seventeen years old. We support the project through the daily provision of “uji” (finger millet porridge), which ensures the children do not go hungry, as well as providing sports equipment, uniforms, food parcels for their families, stationery supplies and a monthly stipend for the mentors.
