Tarbat Discovery Centre

The archaeological site of St. Colman's old parish church invites visitors and students to explore the Tarbat Discovery Centre. Featuring the ancient works of the Picts, visitors can view carved stones and cross slabs which are decorated with symbols such as the crescent and V-rod, the double disc and Z-rod, mythical beasts, and scrolls and knots intricately etched to create an air of mystery. In addition to the Pictish arts, the centre showcases unique and ancient artefacts and objects in various rooms such as the Lairds Loft, St Colman's Gallery and the Crypt. The property features a café where visitors can enjoy a cup of tea and snacks, and a gift shop selling keepsakes.
