On the fifth floor, at the end of the corridor, a plant-filled lounge called Forest Bathing stays open to any guest with a room key, its chairs turned toward the park and a running water feature. Breakfast is baked in-house, from seven kinds of buns to liver pâté and rum balls made from the previous day's leftover cake. A lobby bar near reception pours wine and draught beer, and folding chairs are free to borrow for the park outside. It is a short walk to the Vejle Art Museum next door and the Jelling rune stones are a drive away. Rooms come with Chromecast TVs and organic toiletries.
