Anachal, the small settlement above Munnar in Kerala's Idukki district, gives Elephant Passage its name and its position. The resort is set into the forest terrain of the hills, with units placed to avoid cutting into the tree cover around them. Balconies face layers of forest that run from deep green by day to grey-purple at dawn and dusk, and birdsong carries across the property through the day. It is a quiet base, away from Munnar's busier tourist stretches.

Four room types are on offer: the Royale Jacuzzi Suite, the Cottage, Grove View Melton, and the Valley View Jacuzzi Cottage. A temperature-controlled pool and a children's pool sit within the grounds, both framed by trees rather than open lawn. Ivory, the multi-cuisine restaurant, serves lunch and dinner, and a coffee shop runs through the day. The spa sits on a hilltop above the resort, surrounded by garden, and offers a range of massages including oil, cream, and head, shoulder, and feet treatments.

Guided activities include morning tea plantation walks, soft trekking, birdwatching, and cooking demonstrations, alongside yoga and a clubhouse games room. A campfire and barbecue facility can be arranged with notice. Pets are welcome, at the owner's responsibility. A banquet hall holds up to 250, useful for events tied to a stay.
