Lake Natron Tented Camp Moivaro, nestled in the wild and remote northeast of Tanzania between the Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains, offers a unique experience where the landscape is the main attraction. The area, inhabited by the Maasai, is dry, desolate, and hauntingly beautiful. Located at the base of Africa’s only active volcano, Ol Doinyo Lengai, Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world, home to millions of tiny crustaceans and a vital breeding ground for thousands of flamingos. The camp, set back in a grove of trees near the lake, features basic yet clean safari tents with showers, comfortable beds, and private verandas. Guests can enjoy a fully stocked bar and candle-lit restaurant, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The camp also offers 16 spacious tents, 6 Maasai banda rooms, a swimming pool, restaurant, lounge area, lunch boxes, campfire, room service, WiFi, laundry, and shared kitchen, toilets, and showers.
