Accommodation Smečky 14 is a converted apartment house in Nové Město, Prague's central district, a two-minute walk from Wenceslas Square. The building itself is old, but the rooms inside run modern: flat-screen TVs, full kitchens, sofas and private bathrooms fitted into a historic shell. Two layouts are on offer. The ground-floor studio suits up to three, its living room doubling as the bedroom. Family apartments separate the two, with a choice of a double bed or twins depending on the group.
The location does the heavy lifting. The National Museum is a 10-minute walk, Old Town Hall about 19 minutes, and the Palladium shopping mall roughly 20 minutes on foot, putting most of central Prague within easy reach without a taxi. Reception runs limited hours, from 10am to 3pm, with self check-in available outside that window. A private garage sits on site, though space is limited and booking ahead is advised. Each apartment carries its own wifi. Laundry can be arranged for a fee, and airport transport is bookable by sedan or minivan. It is not a hotel, and does not offer daily housekeeping. Guests keep the space tidy themselves, with towels and toilet paper available on request. What it offers instead is space, flexibility, and a short walk to nearly everything worth seeing.
