Adara Boutique Hotel
Four historic houses joined into one boutique hotel on Lindau's old town island

Adara Boutique-Hotel is a cluster of four historic houses on Lindau's island old town, a short walk from the harbour and the lake shore. Rooms and suites run from 23 m² up to 40 m² across four floors, and no two are quite alike. Several keep a Lindau ceiling dating to the 13th century, along with exposed beams and old stonework left in view. One room retains a 17th-century hoist once used for lifting loads, now simply a feature on the wall. Ceilings in some rooms sit lower than standard, a trait of the original building rather than a flaw. Every room carries a minibar, TV and Bose stereo system alongside a walk-in shower or, in select rooms, a freestanding bathtub. The Junior Suites separate living and sleeping areas and add a desk and sitting corner. The Top Suites go further: two-storey rooms on the fourth floor with a balcony, an outdoor whirlpool and a small kitchenette fitted with a Nespresso machine. From the balcony, you can watch the sun drop behind the rooftops of the old town. An on-site restaurant serves meals to guests without need to leave the building. Lindau itself sits on an island in Lake Constance, its lanes lined with centuries-old façades and its harbour marked by a 19th-century lighthouse and the Bavarian Lion. The hotel makes a compact, walkable base for it.
