On Natai Beach, Phuket, a Chino-Portuguese pool villa retreat by Sri panwa
Set along two kilometres of sand on Natai Beach, north of Phuket across the Sarasin Bridge, Baba Beach Club occupies one of the quieter stretches of the Andaman coast. The resort mixes Chino-Portuguese façades with Shanghai Tang colour, a combination developed by the team behind Sri panwa. Rooms range from 70 m² garden and ocean-view suites to two-bedroom pool villas of up to 280 m², each with an infinity-edge pool and a water garden. The largest, a five-bedroom beachfront villa of 1,053 m², sleeps ten and sits steps from the shore. It is built for groups, not just couples. A 28-metre entertainment pool anchors the beach club, shaded by mangroves and threaded with a Funktion-One sound system that carries into the villas. You can hear the DJ from the pool, or walk past the mangroves for shade and quiet instead. Dining runs from Baba Beach Restaurant, serving Thai and international food across 160 m² of indoor and outdoor space, to Baba IKI for teppanyaki and sushi by the water. Cool Spa, developed at Sri panwa, offers treatments in-villa or in an open-air hut on the beach. Kayaks and paddleboards sit ready on the sand, and the Similan Islands are a short boat ride out for diving. Check-in and departure both run through a 20-minute drive to Phuket International Airport.
