Al Bandar Rotana is a five-star hotel on the north shore of Dubai Creek, on Baniyas Road in Riggat Al Buteen. The waterway runs past the property, and the hotel sits within reach of the city's business district, four kilometres from Dubai International Airport and about eight from the Burj Khalifa. It is a solidly urban address, not a beach one, though staff can arrange transport to the coast.
