Alanta Villa

Set into a wooded hillside above Koh Lanta's west coast, Alanta Villa sits roughly 500 metres from Khlong Khong beach, close enough to reach on foot but shielded from its noise by garden and slope. The property holds seven villas in traditional Asian style, designed by the French firm Oxyde: four with two bedrooms, three with three, sleeping between two and seven guests. Each has its own pool. Bedrooms are air-conditioned, bathrooms open onto private gardens, and the living areas sit open-air under cover, furnished for meals and evenings outdoors. Kitchens come fully equipped, and a barbecue sits ready for the seafood staff can arrange to have delivered fresh. Maid service runs daily. On request, a private chef or an in-villa massage can be arranged, and staff will handle grocery runs or airport transfers from Krabi, roughly a two-hour drive away. It is a compact stay, built around the pool and the shade of its own garden rather than the beach itself. Shops, restaurants and bars line the road toward Khlong Khong, close enough for an evening out, distant enough that the hillside stays quiet after dark. Pets are welcome. For a base on Koh Lanta's coastal centre, within reach of the rest of the island, the setting favours calm over convenience at the door, though both are close at hand.
