Albatros Palace Resort

Set on the Red Sea coast at Hurghada, the resort sits 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the town centre, on a stretch of shore once known chiefly for fishing before tourism reshaped it. Rooms and suites run from 36 to 70 square metres, with garden, pool or sea views, and a family room extends to 58 square metres for those travelling with children. Deluxe rooms with a sea-side aspect look straight onto the water. Nine bars complete the circuit, from a pool bar built for sipping without leaving the water to a terrace bar looking over the garden toward the sea. Currents along this shore run gentle, good for casual swimming, and the water beyond holds enough coral and fish life to draw snorkellers and divers alike. A kids' club and a dedicated kids' aqua park keep younger guests occupied, while guests staying here also get access to the aqua park at a sister resort nearby. It is part of the wider Pickalbatros group, founded in Hurghada in 1992. The beach is private. Wifi runs free throughout, and the front desk operates around the clock.
