Aldea Coba an Escape Resort
Cobá sits inland from the Riviera Maya, a village of around two thousand people built around a lagoon and a set of Maya ruins reached in minutes on foot or by bike. Aldea Coba an Escape Resort is set into the jungle just outside it, thirty minutes from the beaches of Tulum by road. Six rooms make up the property, split across standard bungalows, Premium bungalows, and villas, each finished in chukum plaster and local stone and each facing either the garden or the raised limestone path known as the Sac-Be. The villas run to 75 m², with a private terrace and pool, a minibar stocked with snacks, and a rain shower framed by a view over the Sac-Be and the surrounding jungle. Premium bungalows measure 22 m² and add a private terrace with a jacuzzi and an outdoor hammock. An outdoor pool and a Starbucks coffee bar sit at the centre of the grounds. It is a compact stay. Guides can be arranged for private tours, and a WhatsApp concierge handles requests through the day. You can hear the jungle canopy close in around the terraces at night, a contrast to the open coast half an hour away. Check-in runs from 3pm, check-out at noon, with late check-out available on request.
