Hallamore Lake is the resort's edge and its reason for being. Alpine Meadows Resort occupies 280 acres along a mountain pass in the British Columbia interior, roughly 23 km south of Clearwater by way of Dunn Lake Road, the last stretch unpaved. Wells Gray Provincial Park lies close by. Lodging runs from one- and two-bedroom log suites to a three-bedroom executive log home, plus RV sites with full hook-ups and shared kitchen facilities; some units carry full kitchens, others a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee station. The Boathouse Restaurant sits directly on the water, serving breakfast and dinner alongside British Columbia wines, while the Fireside Grill keeps a wood hearth burning through the afternoon for pulled pork tacos and burgers. Two six-person barrel saunas opened recently, set among trees near the lake. Guests fish, canoe, kayak and paddleboard from the shore, or walk one of three hiking trails on the property. Wi-Fi runs on Starlink and signal thins out in cabins farther from the main buildings. The resort operates seasonally, from May through October. Cell service does not reach the property, which guests tend to notice within a day and stop minding shortly after.
