Amanyara

The water off Northwest Point runs pale turquoise over a shallow shelf, and several villas step straight onto the sand. Amanyara is set within an 18,000-acre nature reserve on the northwest coast of Providenciales, a low cluster of pavilions and villas built around ponds, gardens, and stretches of open beach. Beach Sala Villas open onto the shore through a private beach sala; Beach Path Tranquillity Villas reach the sand by a three-minute footpath. Every other villa is roughly seven minutes by golf cart from the main restaurant, spa, and Beach Club. Each villa comes with its own chef and host, resident for the length of the stay, cooking to whatever a guest asks for rather than a fixed menu. Kitchens hold a working stock of produce, not a set order, so specialty requests need two weeks' notice. Villas run from two to six bedrooms, with plunge pools, decks, and tranquillity ponds that some families fence off for young children. The Six-Bedroom Amanyara Villa has its own gym and steam room; the Artists Villa keeps a cold-plunge pool alongside its gym. Snorkelling gear and non-motorised watersports are included, and the reserve keeps four tennis courts, a Pilates studio, and a boxing studio. Afternoon tea is served daily at The Bar. It is a quiet, self-contained stretch of coast, built for guests who would rather not leave the villa for dinner.
