In Le Tampon, a private lodge with pool views to the volcano
Skip to product information
Set into the hillside above Le Tampon, in the south of Réunion, Anaé Lodge looks out towards the island's volcanic peaks from its own garden. The lodge, called Lodge Endormi, covers 25 square metres and sleeps up to four across a queen bed and two singles. A heated pool, kept at 30 degrees year-round, sits just outside the door alongside a covered veranda and a small planted garden. Inside, the room runs to a kitchenette with an induction hob, a bean-to-cup coffee machine and a flat-screen television, plus air conditioning and a walk-in shower. It is a compact stay. From the property, Piton de la Fournaise, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, lies around an hour and a quarter away by road. Grand Bassin and its waterfall sit twenty-five minutes off, reached via the Bois Court viewpoint, and the village of L'Entre-Deux, with its creole-style houses and trailheads for Dimitile, is twenty minutes from the lodge. The wild southern coast and Grande Anse beach are half an hour away, and the Langevin river's cascades and hidden swimming spots roughly an hour and a quarter. You can hear little beyond birdsong and the pool filter from the veranda. Breakfast is served daily, and staff can point guests towards nearby restaurants for other meals. Barbecue facilities and parking are provided on site.
