Community visit (additional cost)

This excursion takes guests outside the concession to Lukungu, a community three to four hours' drive from the lodge, each way. It fills a full day given the distance involved. On arrival, visitors are introduced to residents and shown how Wild Impact operates locally, funding schooling, medical care and clean water supply in the area. Rather than a scenic outing, it is a chance to see how conservation tourism translates into practical support for neighbouring villages. Suited to guests keen to look beyond the reserve, it pairs a long drive with a direct, human encounter.
