Guided walks from Kichwa Tembo run around two hours and follow one of several routes on foot, led by an experienced guide. The Kichwa Nature Trail traces the edge of Sabaringo Creek through riverine forest, good ground for spotting birdlife. The Oloololo Escarpment Trail climbs from camp to the top of the escarpment, up to five hundred metres above the plains, with views over the Mara Reserve and the Mara River below. On a clear day the panorama takes in the whole reserve. Each route offers a slower, closer look at the landscape than a vehicle allows.
