Beyond the senses (additional cost)
Night drive that lets you see heat itself
Skip to product information
A private safari vehicle fitted with thermal and infrared cameras turns darkness into a viewable landscape. Four passenger screens, one per row, show live footage of animals moving and interacting across the reserve, much of it hidden from ordinary sight. Wireless headsets pick up sounds most guests would miss, a hyena calling far off, a porcupine digging through leaf litter nearby. A ranger, a tracker and a camera specialist run the drive together, reading the terrain and the footage as they go. The result is a quiet, close-up study of animal behaviour after dark, built on equipment usually reserved for wildlife film crews.
