A short drive brings guests to the water's edge, where they board for a quiet run along a reed-lined stretch, fever trees arching overhead and kingfishers cutting across the surface ahead of the boat. Offered in early morning or late afternoon light, the pace is slower than a drive, and the river's narrow channel brings smaller details, birds, insects, reflections, into closer view.
