Specialist Walking Safari (additional cost)

This is a full-day outing on foot, an alternative to game drives for guests who want closer contact with the bush at Phinda. A private vehicle carries you to the starting point, then you walk, following the paths left by zebra and buffalo, moving through grass underfoot and picking up the smaller details of the reserve that a vehicle passes by too quickly to notice. A specialist guide leads throughout, reading tracks and signs along the way. It runs at an additional cost, booked separately from the lodge's standard game drives and walks.
