Shaded by coconut palms in Calangute, the resort keeps its rooms low and breezy, built along the lines of a Goan village rather than a glass tower. Bardez lies just inland; the beach is a short walk away. Rooms open onto pool or garden views, and each carries the same pared-back, tiled-and-timber feel meant to recall older Goan homes rather than a standard hotel corridor. Two restaurants, Diva and Cinnamon, cover Italian, Goan and Indian cooking, while a courtyard bar overlooking the garden pours cocktails after dark. Private dining can be set up for anything from a table for two to a party of seventy, useful for anniversaries or family gatherings alike. A garden spa offers Ayurveda-inspired treatments alongside Eastern and Western therapies, set apart from the main pool area for quiet. There is also a fitness centre for those unwilling to let the holiday interrupt a routine. You can hear the palms move overhead from most of the ground-floor rooms. The resort's own restaurant project in nearby Anjuna, run with a separate art and research angle, sources seafood, meat and grain locally and shifts its menu with the seasons. It is a compact, walkable base, closer to a village lane than a resort strip.
