Andorra Park Hotel

Set in the centre of Andorra la Vella, the Andorra Park Hotel looks out over the Pyrenees from a building raised in 1957 and updated since without losing its alpine bones. Stone and timber details still frame the structure; inside, rooms and public spaces run to a calmer, contemporary line. It was the first five-star hotel in the country, and it still carries that distinction locally. Suites range from the Park Suite, at 50 square metres with a private terrace, up to the Grand Suite and a Duplex Room that sleeps up to four. Each room comes with air conditioning, a smart TV and a coffee machine; bathrooms have a walk-in shower, bathrobes and slippers. The wellness area holds an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, along with an outdoor pool open through summer and a full gym. Padel courts sit alongside. A dedicated studio, Sala Petita, runs pilates and yoga through the week. Unusually for a hotel, it also houses a ballet school, said to be the first of its kind worldwide, teaching classes from beginner to advanced level. You can hear the studio's piano from the corridor most weekday mornings. Guests reach the ski lifts by hotel transfer, and the old town's stone lanes and shops are a short walk from the front door.
