Anna Maria Beach Resort

Anna Maria Island's Gulf shore in Holmes Beach holds Anna Maria Beach Resort, a two-storey property set directly on the sand. The resort, once known as the Blue Water Beach Club, was fully renovated in 2018, and now runs 31 rooms and suites across the beachfront and pool-facing wings. Rooms lean apartment-style. Several include full kitchens, sliding glass doors, and private balconies or patios facing the Gulf or the pool deck; the Oceanfront suites sit closest to the shore, just steps from the sand. The Anna Maria Luxury Suite is the largest, with two bathrooms, a separate living room, and an oversized balcony looking over the pool and water. Outside, a zero-entry pool and heated spa anchor the grounds, with five private cabanas available by the day. Beach loungers and umbrellas are set up each morning at no charge, and bikes with locks and helmets go out on a first-come basis. You can pick up the island's free trolley at the resort entrance, or walk to Beach Bistro nearby for dinner. There is no restaurant or bar on site, though the shopping and dining strip of Holmes Beach sits within easy reach on foot or by trolley. Parking is limited to one car per reservation.
