Bush Walks

Guided on foot, a ranger leads visitors through Kidepo Valley's bush, reading the landscape at close range: tracks pressed into a dry riverbed, plants identified along the way, geological features pointed out underfoot. Routes vary with the season and can be arranged as short outings or full-day excursions, tailored to the group. Rather than viewing wildlife from a vehicle, walkers move at the pace of the terrain, following the same paths used by zebra, giraffe and elephant. It is a slower, more detailed way of encountering the park than a game drive allows.
