Arctic Nook
Set into pine forest at the foot of Kätkä fell, Arctic Nook comprises thirteen villas roughly 100 metres from Levi's gondola lift and World Cup slope. The buildings were designed by PAVE Architects of Oulu, oriented to the site rather than against it, with wood-fibre insulation and lined oak doors that keep the interiors quiet. Fenced grounds among tall pines give children room to play, and a central kota, a timber hut with an open fire, anchors the cluster. Three villa types are on offer. Twin villas run to 116 m² over three levels, with three bedrooms and a roof terrace off the lounge. Exclusive villas reach 161 m², sleep up to ten, and add a second and third floor of bedrooms plus a private balcony off each master. Private suite villas are smaller, from 71 to 89 m², built for one to six guests. Every villa has its own Finnish sauna and an outdoor Drop jacuzzi on a private terrace. Interiors favour a muted palette of snow, bog and pine tones, with local art and Nordic textiles. You can walk to cross-country tracks and nature trails within 500 metres, and Kittilä airport is 12 km away. A concierge team arranges transfers, guided aurora chases, and husky or reindeer excursions through the surrounding forest.
