Timing dinner for six o'clock at Hotel Ariane means guests can still cross town for the Last Post at the Menin Gate, a short walk from the door. Set two streets from the Grote Markt in Ypres, the hotel pairs a four-star restaurant with rooms built for stopovers rather than passing through. Reception will hold a table on the garden terrace on request, weather allowing, and keeps a bar open for anyone arriving ahead of their slot. Rooms range from a compact 20 m² double to a 48 m² suite with its own jacuzzi bath and infrared cabin, each fitted with air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, and filtered water refreshed daily. Studio 17 adds a kitchenette and private terrace at 34 m². Every bed was replaced in 2022 with Revor Bedding's Styldecor range. The restaurant kitchen and breakfast buffet were rebuilt in 2025, now running a 20-metre spread of hot and cold dishes with some show-cooking. Two meeting rooms serve the daytime trade: Zeus, 49 m² with parquet floors and windows on two sides, and the tAble, 32 m² beside the restaurant with a modular oval table for up to 20. Parking is free and included for hotel guests, with seven charging points on site. It is a compact, workable base for the battlefields and the town beyond.
