art'otel Zagreb

art'otel Zagreb is a 110-room hotel on Petrinjska Street, a short walk from Ban Jelačić Square, Zagreb Cathedral and Dolac Market. The building's interiors are given over almost entirely to the work of Croatian artist Boris Bućan, with original pieces placed through the rooms and public areas rather than confined to a gallery wall. Rooms run from compact Art Rooms of 22 m² to the Masterpiece Suite at 48 m², which has a round king bed, a freestanding bathtub and a separate shower. Junior Suites add a record player and a Dyson Airwrap to the usual kit of ILLY espresso machine and smart TV. Downstairs, YEZI Restaurant & Teahouse serves pan-Asian dishes and dim sum from chef Werner Seebach, alongside a cocktail bar and patisserie. A rooftop bar looks over the city skyline, open for cocktails and, on some nights, a DJ. There is also a heated indoor pool, a sauna and steam room, and treatment rooms for guests who want to slow down between gallery visits. It is a hotel built for wandering out the front door: the old town, its shops and its bars are all close enough to reach on foot. Dogs are welcome, with their own welcome treats at check-in.
